Hi,
I should have specified that most emails come in but there are times when an email shows up for a second or two and then it is gone from my inbox. It is not in my spam or junk folder either.
Thanks,
Ioannis
Hi,
I was informed by my websmaster that emails to my POP3 email account are being rejected due to my AVG set up. How do I configure my AVG email security so emails are not rejected but rather stored somewhere?
Thanks
I access emails through Microsoft Outlook that is set up for my email (POP3). I can disable it but since I do receive most emails, it is difficult to check whether any email is being rejected. I would have to leave it disabled for a considerable amount of time and monitor it for when an email comes in and leaves. I sent myself emails with the AVG protection on and I received them.
Is there a way to set it it up where any rejected email is stored in Junk or Spam? At least I can restore the email? Please let me know how to proceed and I will.
Thanks,
Ioannis
Thank you for clarifying, Ioannis. Please let us know how you access emails. Is it through email client such as Outlook or Thunderbird?
Also, let us know if you've disabled AVG protection & checked the issue as suggested by our colleague in the previous post.
Thanks. I will look into it.
You are welcome, Ioannis.
Thank you for understanding.
Ioannis, we don't think the problem is because of AVG.
If the email is rejected, it is not possible for it to stay on spam or junk folders.
The sender will receive the notice as email undelivered due to some specific reasons.
If you contact Microsoft support, they will be able to provide some suggestions.
Hello Ioannis,
We will help you to get this sorted.
May I know whether you are using AVG Antivirus free or paid AVG Internet Security program?
Firstly, let us disable AVG protection temporarily as mentioned in this article.
Once it is done, let us know whether you are able to receive emails.
Keep us posted.
