It seems unbelievable that you are telling people to turn off their email filters!!!
Why do you think we actually buy subscriptions?

To get the avg people to understand you need to say something like this is sending all incoming emails from my isp to the junk folder and marking them all as spam which means when you reply, they also see you as having marked them as SPAM!
This means that AVG is seeing your isp as a spam server regardless of wether that be true or not. But in Defence of AVG, your ISp email servers may have been hacked in the past.
While not a true answer to the issue this should help some of you.
If you go to your email settings, you can stop emails from being rerouted to your junk folder, while not idea at least it stops ALL mail from going there.
Next you can set the option of not adding the [spam] to the emails so your recipients don't see you recording them as spam.
Then you can also choose to whitelist people you respond to automatically.
And finally pull your spam setting down which is the highest by default.
While the actual root issue which seems to have been neglected, still needs to be addressed this at least may give some of you piece of mind and a working system.
I can safely say that AVG has not answered the questions I originally posed, so I employed a computer expert who says several of his clients have had the same problems (all messages marked SPAM, and messages from added contacts going into JUNK box - just to remind you). This chap said that we would have to cancel protection on email, which he did, and that has indeed solved the problem. However, I have paid for my AVG (Internet Security 2014) and I think it is unacceptable a) that I have to cancel part of the package in order for emails to work properly, and b) that there has been such a mish-mash of answers from AVG staff that I no longer have any faith in AVG. So answer that one please!
Hello Helen,
We apologize for the delay response and inconvenience caused.
I would request you try adding the trusted sender email address in whitelists.
Please follow the few simple below steps to fix the issue.
1) Open AVG program
2) At the top right corner please click on Options and select Advanced Settings
3) In the left panel please click on + symbol of Email Scanner and in that click on Anti-spam option
4) Below the Anti-spam you can find whitelist and blacklist option. Please click on Blacklist option.
5) To the right you can find the space to enter the senders email that is to be blocked or below you can find "Export" option.
6) If you click on Export you can find few options which will have Microsoft Outlook and from there you can export the senders email address directly and add it to the blacklist.
7) Finally click Ok and you wont be receiving any emails from the sender whom you have blacklisted.
Dear Aravindh,
Thanks for the reply but you have misread my question. I am not wanting to blacklist anyone. Please read the original problems. I know how to block sender or sender's domain and I know how to ADD CONTACT. There are 2 problems. The first is that for three weeks or so ALL my emails are marked SPAM. The second is that people I have been corresponding with for yonks are now going into the JUNK box. Since this includes my brother's address, that isn't right.

For some weeks now all emails sent to me in Windows Livemail have been marked SPAM. We've looked at the settings but the 'aggressive' bar is set at 90 so it isn't due to the settings. Also, although real spam messages do go into the junk box, so do several emails from people I correspond with regularly, including my brother, even though they are in the contact list. Can someone help please?

Hello Joe,
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I'm sorry that you have been transferred so many times. It is disappointing to talk to so many people who can't help you. On verifying your previous query, I see that your request has escalated to our senior level technician. I appreciate your patience. I assure that they will get back to you with a proper resolution. I would request you to avoid multiple postings for the same query because it would be confusing for us to follow up your thread. Please feel free to get back to us for any issues with AVG. Thank you.

Hello Graham,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused. To resolve the issue, we suggest you to reduce aggressive spam filtration by following these steps:
Open AVG -> Options -> Advanced settings ->Email protection -> Anti-spam -> Settings and then reduce the spam filter aggression to 80 and let us know the status. Thank you.
Good morning! Here is an issue, Mohammed, with AVG. I write with an increasingly pressing problem - two in fact. Aravindh doesn't read the email and replies to a completely different issue to the ones I've explained, Joe says he's having a similar problem and is not getting any replies from anyone, and now you apologise to Joe. Could you guys at AVG please sort all this out and let Joe and me have answers please?
This muddled response, or lack of response in Joe's case, is not looking good for AVG - it makes you look unreliable.
Hello Christine.
I am sorry that it took so long to respond back to your post. I believe Mohammed have already clarified you on the current progress in the case. The Support team will contact you back as early as possible. I request you to wait until. Again, I know how annoying it would be to wait for long time to fix the issue. However, I would do the best I could to fix this issue for you.
Thank you.
Hello Christine,
We certainly understand how frustrating it is to have to go through this and we regret the inconvenience that it has caused. Please follow the instructions sent to your email to have a better assistance in resolving your issue.
Thank you.
Did you even bother to read my post properly…Obviously not. Pull the setting down!
