Also mention whether you are using the free, trial or paid version of AVG program.

The firewall I am using is Windows 7 Firewall Control.
The program is attempting to make an outbound connection to my internet service hence triggering an alert in my firewall. Other than that I can't say what it is trying to do as I blocked its access to the internet since it was a new program that I was unaware of and feared it may be malicious. I simply wish to know what this new program of yours does since it was installed without my knowledge or approval.Please just tell me what it does.
Yesterday, as part of an AVG automatic update, a new program file was installed called AVG Emergency Update (EmUpdate.exe). It installed in the Notifications sub-folder of the AVG program file. It has been trying to access the internet triggering an alert by my firewall. Please could you explain what this program is or does ?
Thanks I'll give it a shot. I'm not the greatest with computers honestly and that's why I need you folks.

Let us know the name of firewall you have installed and please brief the exact way you have identified that it is triggering your internet connections. It could be better if you provide us with more information, thank you!
