Enable password protection for my browsers

i find that i am not able to  enable the "password protection" for my browsers,  on my AVG Full Protection page, the button remains  red with an X in the center of it,  and  when i try to click it or slide it to the right to enable,  nothing happens,  it remains  in the off position red with an X in the center,  please help!!!
