Ending suscription

How is it, I get an email advising of changes, etc BUT when I try and log in ( cannot recall my password) I get told that the same email address I receive communications to ( mine) does not exist on your system?

I have now opened a new account in order to get answers on how to cancel my ORIGINAL account!

Rob, we actually sent an email from here and asked you to share the complete email address through it.
If you provide us with the full email address, we will be able to locate the accounts associated with AVG and assist further on this matter.
If my email is not found in the inbox of *********@sky.com email account, then check in the spam and junk folders of it.

Thank you for the reply which leaves me slightly at a loss as i have received no other emails.
Would the email addresses be  **@tesco.net ?  ( not the correct number of * for characters) but both start   Rob  if so that could be a problem as Tesco stopped support and then closed all their ***@tesco.net accounts many months ago.
Other options are an    @hotmail.com  or  work related account ending       ****ltd.co.uk 

Any suggestions would be much appreciated,
