So I ran the avg clear, uninstalled everything, went to reinstalled, failed installation twice, had to download and use the reset access tool, third time the install bar stalled out at 97%, said there was an error but when I clicked to find out what the error was, it went away and fully installed even though the bar was still stuck at 97%. Had to exit out of that window and restarted computer just to be sure, but it looks like everything was installed and is working correctly now.

I too am running into the endless computer restart loop caused by trying to update my AVG virus definition. Whenever my computer boots back up, it throws up a message from AVG saying that something is trying to turn off a key module of avg. I pick the suggested No option and then as soon as AVG finishes booting up, I get a computer restart prompt. I tried to follow the repair AVG program fix as was suggested to other's that had my problem but instead of fixing anything, I was just given a 'sorry we ran into an unexpected problem' and an error code: 0xa0010004.
