We need to reactivate your AVG Ultimate to fix this issue. Make sure that you have not installed any other conflicting security programs. Open AVG Internet Security -> My AVG -> My Subscription -> log out/ remove license -> log back in.
Restart your device and check if all components are active and green in color. If so, change the default firewall settings. We are here if you need any help.
I got in touch with AVG support and they removed license and then re-activated AVG antivirus on my pc. Enhanced firewall was still highlighted in red and and I still could not enable system rules. They then removed the program, rebooted pc and re-installed program. Enhanced firewall is still highlighted in red and and I still cannot enable system rules. This is the second time tech support has done the same things and it still has not fixed my problem! The tech said that I have an incorrect expiry date in the program but he could not change it. What does it take to get this resolved?
The enhanced firewall on my Win XP computer stopped functioning after the December update. I keep getting a message that I need to reboot to finish the upgrade, but there is no change after the reboot. If I go to the settings for firewall, no network connection is displayed and I cannot enable all the features (including file and print sharing). I have tried the AVG clean and repair then re-install the program at least 3 times but it doesn't make a difference. Any idea what else I can try?

It is indeed disappointing when you have to contact us multiple times about the same issue. I see that your remote session with our senior technician was disconnected while he was trying to fix the issue. I really appreciate your efforts in trying to fix the issue. I have sent you an email, please follow the email instructions to get in touch with the remote support. They will analyze the issue with AVG and fix it, free of cost.
I followed instructions to log out/ remove license, log back in, and restart my pc. Enhanced firewall is still highlighted in red and and I still cannot enable system rules. This prevengts me from using file and printer sharing with other computers on my local network. Please help!
