Enhanced firewall blocking EAP controller

Hello William,

We're sorry for the inconvenience caused. We'll look into this and help you.
Please refer to this article to enable the following System rules of your AVG Internet Security Enhanced Firewall:
1. Allow Windows File and Printer sharing
2. Allow remote desktop connections to this computer
Once the above system rules have been enabled, kindly check if the issue persists.
If the issue still persists, please write back to us. We'll check and help you accordingly.
Thanks in advance.

I am also having the same problem, I've tried the suggestions given by Midhun, but I am still having to turn the firewall off in order to allow the EAP's to connect.

Is there any update or further information on this issue?

TIA
Neil

I have TP-Links EAP's installed as wireless stations and they are monitored by a controller piece of software called Omada.  This monitoring is interrupted, making it falsely report the APs as disconnected unless I turn off the Enhanced Firewall on my AVG software.  I assume that there are some port conflicts … how do I resolve?

Hi Neil,

We will help you to resolve the issue.

Please contact us through separate post to locate your account and help you further.

Thank you.

I left the EAPs behind mid October when I left Peru in a rush when it opened up.  I will not be able to test this solution until I return in March … but will return to it then.

We understand your concern, William.

Please follow the steps in your convenient time and let us know, if you face the same issue again.

Keep us posted.
