Sometimes, this might happen if few services are unable to initiate or due to the presence of other antivirus.
In this regard, please check & remove if there are any other antivirus installed on your computer.
If there are no other antivirus, please repair AVG program once to check if it helps.

Running AVG Security on WIndows 10 desktop PC. Everything is slow and my Enhanced Firewall refuses to turn on, even when I try to activate it within AVG. Also it is not allowing me to uninstall AVG.

There are no other anti virus programmes. I finally managed to uninstall/repair and it seemed to work, but after I restarted the PC it's back again.
