This is a known issue and it is confirmed as a bug.
However, it would get resolved, if you perform a re-installation.

To install AVG Internet Security, follow the steps as mentioned (here).
Avg Internet Security home page says Hacker Attacks not protected. When I open it and click the red button it changes to green but the red slider beneath cannot be moved so it will not activate the Enhanced Firewall. I have used your repair tool but it makes no difference.
I have same issue. If you got to Settings>components it shows geen(it is on) …a contrdiction. So it may be a FALSE warning? I reinstalled once and it did not work. A bug in AVG system they are trying to fix…?..but when? My call to technician had him remote contorol but not fix this. what to do? may call once more.
