Well, it looks like I may have spoken too soon. I went to print some documents in Word and the same thing happened. One minor difference this time is that instead of getting a message that the printer is off line, I get nothing. When I checked the printer status it does show it as off line. I checked everything from the previous suggestion and it is still where I changed it to. I leave my PC on all the time so I will do a restart  just to insure these cganges are totally applied.

Not sure if you are familiar with the Epson software, but it appears after some time the printer goes into something like a sleep mode and the front panel just shows the LEDs for WiFi and On. When a document is to be printed, the printer would wake up, but now the PC thinks the printer is off line. Just wanted to make sure you understood what exactly is going on.

Ever since installing the AVG PC Tune Up I have been having an issue with my Epson Artisan 730 printer. When I go to print I get a message saying the printer is off line. I have to turn the printer off, then back on, and the print queue prints. I checked and I have not put the Epson Print Monitor into the services that are sleeping. However, I did notice that I can get it to respond to ignore on the list either.

This is very annoying since I never had this problem before installing AVG. Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

Yes, we understand the situation now.
Thank you for the clear explanation.

Open AVG Internet Security interface.

Select "Passive Mode" and slide the green cursor to turn off the protection temporarily.
Keep us informed about the status.

Sorry it took so long to respond to this. I firmly believe it's been corrected now. I have printed a few time waiting as long as 2 days between tries without an issue. I feel it was the restart after changing the settings that cleared everything up.

Thanks for the help!

Before I do that I am going to wait at least a day. I restarted the PC about 5 hours ago. I came home and went to print something and it printed right away. I'd like to give it some time at reat to see if maybe there is a time element involved here.

I will post the results tomorrow afternoon.

Hey Alok,
That seemed to have done it. It seems the first system rule on printer spooling was turned off.

Thank you very much.

Hello Tony,
I understand the inconvenience caused, let's work together to fix this issue.
If you have not disabled/put in sleep the Printer software then the program might be getting blocked by AVG Firewall.
I request you to change AVG Firewall network profile to private (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > components > firewall > customize > network profile > change all the network public to private), please go to Firewall customize settings again > scroll down > click on system rules > enable all the system rules if it's not configured, please click OK and check if you can use printer with enabled AVG Internet Security/AVG PC TuneUp.
Best regards,
Alok.
