I already had iTunes installed and it seemed to have been the most up to date version but I decided to re-install it today and now it works… Thank you!!

Found and have solution ; you must have installed I-tunes on your PC. Thereafter cleanup works fine.
It is a known problem - AVG is working with Apple to solve issue. Strangely AVG did not mention it on the april 27 respons.
