Bryony, On the error message did you also see Description: Event exec_finished?.

I've tried installing the 2016 antivirus pro which I purchased earlier but each time I try to instal it I get the same 'Error 0xC0070643' message and have tried the avg remover tool as suggested before but it is still coming up with the same message, please help!

Hello,  I had no previous security software as far as I'm aware as I had already uninstalled the McAfee programmes and double checked this incase it was the problem. Thank you.
