Sorry to hear that. Please uninstall and reinstall AVG Free Antivirus using below steps and check if it works:
1. Use the link https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe to run the AVG Clear tool.
2. Open the AVG Clear tool, click Yes in the User Account control dialog.
3. Click No in the Windows safe mode dialog.
4. Select the installed version of AVG and also check the box 'Uninstall AVG Zen'. Then click Uninstall, and Restart computer.
5. To run AVG remover tool please follow this link: http://avgread.me/1DEtNP0 .
To reinstall AVG Free Antivirus, please use this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Free .

Having met windows 7 update problems, I had to deinstall AVG free version with the official AVG removal tool and reinstall it. Having met after deinstallation an error message "avguix.exe" which had to be confirmed by yes and sended to support, I installed the test version (irritated meeting various versions).
Error message seems to carry on, showing to me how deeply product installation was in windows system. How serious ist this annoying problem?
Seems doubtful making a product buy decision if this can't be easily solved. Tx for help.
