Could you please confirm whether the AVG program displays as "Updating". If so please wait until the updates gets completed and if it fails please provide us with the screenshot so that we could analyze the issue more better. Hi,
Some days ago I installed Auto-Tune from Antares Audio Technologies. During the install the software asked for my permission to temporarily disable AVG. It needed to do that to be able to install. I answered yes.
I tested the Auto-Tune software, but was not pleased with it, so I uninstalled it again.
When I restarted my PC, I got the following error (translated from Norwegian): "avuirunnerx.exe - Software error. The software could not start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to terminate the software."
How can I fix this? Please respond. Thanks!
I reinstalled MSVC package from the website you linked to. Then I restarted my PC. The problem is still there. The AVG program displays as "Updating", but it doesn't get any further. The white circle infront of the text "Updating virus definitions…" is just running and running. It doesn't finish.

We suggest you to restart your computer and then reinstall MSVC package from the website http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=30679 .After the installation, restart your computer once again and then 'update' your AVG program. Please share the status. Thank you.
