Error aplication

Hello.

Sorry if my English is not very fluent. I have not found a technical support in Spanish for my problem with my AVG, this forum is my last resort to find a solution.

A few days ago, my AVG was automatically updated to version 17.4.3014. Since then, turning off my computer I get an error message, it is very brief, maybe it appears on the screen 2 seconds before my windows XP is closed. I had to record it with my cell phone to be able to compose it, it says:

"AvDump32.exe - Application Error.

The exception software exception (0x40000015) exception occurred at address 0x00454d08.

Click OK to end this program."

I would appreciate if anyone can help me with this problem. My old computer is my daily tool of work and I worry that this error is serious. Thanks greetings.

Hello Avinash.

I followed all your instructions and the error message has not reappeared. At the moment, I do not have avg antivirus, before reinstalling it I wanted to check if windows has been totally clean of the previous installation, but my surprise when searching everything related to avg is that I have many files (some have to delete them manually as The avg_remover), but I wonder if what is left in the system is normal. Thanks for your help.

By the way, the keyword in the search has been "avg". Attached is a catch of the result.

Although the message avdump32.exe seems to have disappeared after uninstallation, I now have a new problem. Shortly after booting the windows, I get a message that my wacom tablet driver is not running (although it works for me). That message had never left me, can someone tell me why this happened, please and what could be the solution? thank you very much.

Thanks for replying Alan. And sorry for posting the same message over and over again. I do not know English and I do not understand the rules of the forum. I am communicating with the help of an automatic translation because I have not found help or support in Spanish.

You tell me that you need an image capture in order to analyze the error. I link you a video of a few seconds of when the message comes out while it closes windows XP, the language is in Spanish. Thank you.

Hello Pepito,
The 0x40000015 error may be caused by windows system files damage. There can be many events which may have resulted in the system files errors. An incomplete installation, an incomplete uninstall, improper deletion of applications. I would suggest you to uninstall AVG completely and reinstall it.
Download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing antivirus component of AVG 2017 and its traces.

Open tool
User Account control - click "Yes"
Windows safe mode - click "No"
Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
Click "Uninstall"
Click "Restart computer".

After restart, run AVG Remover and remove all other supported products and remnants of AVG (ZEN, Framework,…)
You can download and run AVG Remover tool as suggested in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG .

Reinstall AVG after these 2 tools are run and that should resolve your issue.

Hello Pepito,

Thank you for the detailed information.
I recommend you to delete the entire AVG files that is present on the screenshot you have provided.
Regarding the wacom tablet driver issue, I recommend you to reinstall the wacom tablet drive once and check whether the issue appears.
I assure you that this issue is not due to AVG.

Pepito, In future please refrain from carrying out multiple topic postings on the same subject! You won't obtain an answer to your query any faster!. Also please try to keep the whole conversation in one question/thread to speed up any resolution. Please see your other posting (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000DqpwAAC).

Hello Balasubramanian.

No need to reinstall the tablet driver, with a disk defragmenter and a scandisk the problem seems to have been solved, thanks.

I disagree with what you mention that AVG was not to blame. If my AVG antivirus was not automatically upgraded to the 2017 version I would not have gotten the windows error message that forced me to uninstall everything and then it resulted in the tablet. Everything worked perfectly until this update.

Having said all this, and seeing that the version of AVG 2016 also worked very well I came to the simple conclusion that the antivirus for XP is not recommended. I do not say it, a Microsoft expert told me that current antivirus systems are only focused on new systems (which is understandable). So, if this is so, it is as simple as putting in software requirements that is not compatible with XP. Thanks to all of you who have helped me find a solution, especially Avinash.
