Hi Alok – no joy – same problem.
I ran the sequence as you advised but I still can’t download the product I haver paid for
I get the following error message:
Description: General error (0x0299)
Error code: 0x80010299
This is a real pain. What do you suggest I do ?

2 issues
Problem #1: impossible to install avg. I have used the uninstall, SRPolicy, & Reset Access tools and multiple re-starts and it is still impossible to re-install my avg protection. It is becoming very frustrating so any suggestions welcome. I had to do this because of
Problem #2: I noticed 2 versions of AVG on my desk top. The first is the one I know & the second seems to be a newer version (different fonts,colours and layout). The net effect was they were both competing with each other (that's what the warning message said) with the effect of denying me any web browser or email access so no chance to download any fix!. I had to remove all avg from my desk top to solve the problem and now I am having to deal with Problem#1
i like avg and use it's products but this is beginning to become a real pain . I have lost a day trying to fix this and really want a solution
