I just downloaded and installed the AVG internet security free trial on my Windows 10 System.
After a restart i get this error 0xc00000e5 when lauching various applications including office 2016 applications.
ironically, after the Reboot AVG itself will not load because of this error code.
also numerous systems compnents such as add/remove programs and system properties simply do not load.
If i disable the AVG services and reboot, system runs fine.
this is clearly an issue with AVG
i don't have the windows update installed you have mentioned above.
i wanted to give AVG a chance to see if it had improved over the years but clearly it is as useless as ever.
don't worry about trying to resolve this issue, i will simply remove your software and will try a rival product instead. oh wait, i can't simply remove it because your product has broken my system. i must now fight it out in safe mode and reduced boot options to get rid of it

Hello Kihm,
Please be informed that the issue occurs due to the registry error's on your PC. First of all, if your System Restore is working then just use that to go back to before the recent updates, if it's not working then try this.
1. Disconnect from the internet
2. Open Control Panel
3. Open Program & Features
4. Click "View installed updates" on the left-hand side
5. Find "Security update for Microsoft Windows (KB2859537)" under the Microsoft Windows section
6. Uninstall that update and restart you PC (may take a very-VERY long time to configure)
7. Go to Windows Updates and hide (KB2859537)
8. Reconnect to the internet
9. Fix your System Restore feature; You might have to remove a fake C: drive and enable System Restore on the correct Windows drive.
If you are still facing the issue please contact Microsoft support so that they could analyze the issue for you.
Thank you.

"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000e5)"
Much thanks for your help!
Hello Spencer,
We really appreciate your efforts and thanks for your understanding about the working of AVG products. Please do not use 2 security software in a computer which may cause System conflict issue, crash, Internet connectivity issues and Slowness issues. Please check the name of conflicting application with AVG : http://avgclick.me/ConflictingApps
Please, feel free to let us know if you require any further assistance. Thank you.
