Error code 0xC0070643 when trying to install

Hi can anyone help me with this ?

I get the follwing error when trying to install Avg_protection_free_698.exe, the exact error is "an unknown error has prevented internet security from installing" eror code 0xC0070643.

Do you have any other third party antivirus installed on your PC?
Did you get as "Description: event exec finished" error along with this code 0xC0070643?

Thanks for the reply, I always run the AVG Remover tool everytime I have a failed install and have retried a number of time to re install so its not a bad installation. The product it removes is the AVG Zen product as this installs fine, it only fails when installing the "protection" that it comes up the error. It gets passed the 100% but then comes up with the error "installation failed error code 0xc0070643 event_exec_finished

Hi

No I removed the macaffee anti virus trial and the avast VPN internet security. I have also turned off the firewall

Would you like me to post the avginstalllog.cab ? although I might have to email it to an address as I can see any option to upload in the forum
