I sincerely apologize for the difficulties you are currently experiencing.
To install AVG Free 2016 normal version in your pc without AVG Zen, we request you to uninstall all AVG product in your pc using remover tool and then install AVG free in your pc.
To run AVG remover tool for AVG Antivirus please follow the below steps :
Please click on the below link to download remover tool
http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
Accept the license agreement and then choose AVG Internet Security and remove it.
NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the drive where you installed this tool and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.

Sorry, thuis crap still doesn't work! I did exactly what you told me to and I got the exact same result. You suck!

I have the exact same problem as many others…What shall I do?  Hi. For years we have been using and appreciatting AVG free version and have had great performance from it. This year when the Free ran out we thought it prudent to update to AVG Pro and Zen but can't get it to fully load. It gets to 98% and gets stuck there for ages and eventually comes up with unable to complete installation with this code given -  Oxc0070643. I'm not overly computer literate so I hope there is an easy uncomplicated fix for this.
