We request you to run AVG remover tool in your pc and then install AVG Antivirus 2016 version in your pc, since we don't have the older version available with us right now. To run AVG remover tool for AVG Antivirus please follow the below steps :

Accept the license agreement and then choose AVG Internet Security and remove it.
NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the drive where you installed this tool and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.

i have a new pc with windows 8
trying to install AVG 2015 free anti-virus

and am getting this errr message - Error code: 0xC0070643

can anyone help?

thanks for prompt reply
i have tried the suggestions on both replies
and alas i am still getting the same error code?

my pc is 64bit, i have downloaded this version of AVG and ran same and same error code appears.

any other suggestions please?
Or is it the built in windows defender is conficting with AVG?
