i have just purchased a new acer laptop
On attempting to install AVG Antivirus (Free Version) numerous times, I receive the following error code as shown below:
Error code: 0xC0070643
Description: Event exec_finished
Prior to installing AVG Antivirus, I had uninstalled the previous mcafee Antivirus software. Can you please advice me on how to proceed?
can any of the avg tech guys send me the email to reslove this issue

Fred, Did you download & use the McAfee total removal tool… (http://download.mcafee.com/molbin/iss-loc/SupportTools/MCPR/MCPR.exe)?. Try the 2nd AVG posting in this link (https://support.avg.com/answers?id=906b0000000bmzBAAQ).
