Hello Chris,
We understand it is disappointing when you receive error message during installation.
Please run AVG remover tool based on your OS (32-bit or 64-bit) to completely remove any traces of AVG.

Please start a fresh installation of AVG again through the below link.

Hi, Thanks for the quick response.  I followed your instructions and still received the same error.  When I downloaded the AVG Remover tool it came up with nothing was installed, but I ran it anyway and rebooted.  The link for the download didn't take me to the product I wanted to try AVG performance so I found a link to it and tried that and thats when the same error came up.  I would really like to try the product again as I only left when there were issued when windows 10 came out and it did seem to be a bit costly.  is there a different link I can try or another option?  I am not going to buy the product ahead of time without seeing it work on windows 10.  Thanks again
