Hello Michael,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Could you please check if there is no other AVG program or third party securtty software installed in your computer? Also we suggest you to download and install the latest version of AVG Protection from this link http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_Protection_806.exe and see if that fix the issue.
Thank you.
Hi Karthikeyan,
Thank you for your reply.
I have since resolved the issue myself, which may be of interest to others with this problem. What I have done is:-
- run AVG Remover.exe
- run AVG ResetAccess.exe
- apply CCCleaner software to the registery and remove/delete all AVG entries reported
- install the AVG product, installation completes without any further problems.
It would seem that remnant AVG entries in the registry cause the installation problem and the error message.
Regards,
Mike.
Hi,
I have been trying to install the AVG Zen upgrade from AVG 2015 PRO on a Vista Home Premium system and constantly encounter the 0xe0010058 error message. The earlier version of AVG worked faultlessly until the Zen upgrade was applied.
I have searched the community forum for possible solutions to this problem, and have applied all solutions offered:-
I have downloaded and run AVG Remover.exe several times, even when the program reports that there are no AVG components found.
I have downloaded and run AVG ResetAccess.exe, which reports that all my access permissions have been reset.
My computer will not now install ANY AVG programs, all installations are aborted with the 0xe0010058 error message.
There are presently no AVG (or any other anti-virus) software installed on my computer.
Can you provide a solution please. I have just renewed my AVG subscription.
Regards,
MIke.
