Thats a lot of hoops for a customer to jump through. As a matter of fact, when I had a dll error, I was told to remove avg. Found out that I couldn't simply remove the paid versions of avg with "Programs and Features" control pannel tool, getting a different error code. Next I found that your remover tool didn't work. After that I downloaded a second party remover tool after being told to do so over customer service. I did so, and now I'm getting a different error… the error in annie's post. I have told people to use your software for years, and paid for it myself in store multiple times. I need actual support, not "did you try turning it off and turning it back on again." when it was a dll error, I tried to manually install that dll, but it wasn't recognized.
Hello Annie,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused. On verifying your records, your product is 'AVG Ultimate multidevice'. To resolve the issue, please remove conflicting antivirus products if any(http://avgread.me/1K1IqEh) and then remove AVG traces using remover tool( http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe ). Please restart to complete the uninstalling process. After restarting your computer, you may need to manually uninstall/delete any remaining AVG applications from 'Control panel' and also 'search' for a folder "AVG Remover"(usually in 'C' drive) and please delete it manually. And then we request you to install your program 'AVG Ultimate' by following the instructions in http://avgread.me/19OHofR .Thank you.
