I just noticed today that I suddenly do not have AVG Free installed on my computer any more. I tried to reinstall it but I keep getting an error saying "Action is not allowed. Currently used product version does not support this installation. Please uninstall current product and start installation again. Error code: 0xe001f98d"
I have uninstalled any trace of AVG from my list of programs in my Control Panel.
I have downloaded and ran the AVG Removal Tool.
I have downloaded and installed the AVG Reset Access Tool.
I have also manually ran the pctremover.exe and avgfmwremover.exe, and then ran the avgremover.exe again.
All steps were followed with a reboot and yet I still get the same error code whenever I try to install a fresh download of AVG Free.
I upgraded to Windows 10 a few months ago and do not remember seeing AVG Free running since I made that upgrade.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
