We are sorry to know that you are unable to complete the AVG installation. This error can happen, if you have old traces of AVG installed in your computer. To fix this issue, we suggest you to follow the below steps:
Download and run AVG Clear tool: https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe. This tool will help with removing AVG 2017 and its traces.
Open tool
User Account control - click "Yes"
Windows safe mode - click "No" (we cannot recommend use the tool in safe mode, because there is a problem with compability)
Choose installed version (AVG Free, AVG Internet Security)
Click "Uninstall"
Click "Restart computer"

Hi there
I am trying to link a second PC via Zen and get the above error code when I try to install AVG Ultimate. Also the same code if I tried to download the free AVG version. There is no AVG on the PC and have run AVG remover programme. Previously is was on AVG via Zen off the main PC but disappeared for some reason. Any ideas ? thanks
After restart, run AVG Remover and remove all AVG products.
Open AVG_Remover.exe (http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe)
User Account control - click "Yes"
Click "CONTINUE"
Select all products, and click "Remove"
Click "Restart" and restart PC
After restart Click "Run" (Open file – Security Warning dialog) and let AVG Remover remove traces
Restart PC again
Download new installation package and proceed with installation.
