Error indicator ! on avg icon

A,  thanks for replying!

I am running AVG Free with Windows XP and there has never been any problem before.  There is no error or warning message when launching AVG and AVG seems to be running fine except for the icon problem.

Is there something else I can try before running the repair installation?

We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused. May we know whether it is a free version or a paid version of AVG you are using? Do you see any error or warning message when you launch your AVG? Please try to run repair installation ( avgclick.me/RepairAVG ) of your AVG to resolve the issue.

The AVG icon in the lower right systray has and error indicator "!" on it.  When I click on the icon, I get this popup...

How do I get rid of the error indicator "!"?

And how can I navigate to AVG control panel?
