Christopher, have you used AVG removal and Clear tool to remove traces and tried installing AVG?

Sorry, we are aware of this issue. This invalid file signature error will get fixed only be re-installation method. Go to Control Panel -> Programs and features -> Uninstall -> Uninstall AVG Internet Security/ Antivirus free, restart your device. 

Go to our official website: https://www.avg.com/en-us/download and download your AVG Internet Security/ Antivirus free. 

Once the installation gets completed, open Internet Security -> My AVG -> My Subscription -> enter your license number or email address to activate paid version (if purchased).

Apologies for the inconvenience caused. This could be due to a conflict with Microsoft security updates. I'd request you to uninstall AVG app using AVG Clear tool and and re install it to resolve the issue. Click on this link for steps to download and run AVG Clear tool.

Then visit our downloads page: http://www.avg.com/download to download and re install your AVG program.

I have had the same error as above ( Error: Invalid file signature. Setup will terminate.)

I have run the repair suggested by Avinash twice, but nothing has changed.

It could be an issue with reaching our update servers. Please try to run repair installation of your AVG to resolve the issue.
To repair your AVG please follow these instructions:

Go to Start -> Control Panel.
Note: Click Settings first if Control Panel is not available in the Start menu.
Open (Programs) -> Programs and Features, or Add or Remove Programs.
Select AVG Protection in the list of programs.
Click the Change or Change/Remove button.
Select Repair.
Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the installation.
Restart your computer.

I ran into an issue while updating my newly installed AVG anti-virus.  It's running on Windows 10 Pro.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  

I error I get is:  "Invalid file signature.  Setup will terminate."  Total time: 0s, Download time: 1s, downloaded files 2(0.20 KB), Server: Download w3135922 Update Server http:// w3135922.avin.avinitro.u.avcdn.net/avinitro

Current version: 17.1.3006 (Build 17.1.3354.20)

I removed AVG and installed the offline but unable to update.

Christopher, can you run AVG removal and Clear tool again and check the status?
You can find the tools in this (article).
Run AVG removal followed by Clear tool.
NOTE: If there are no AVG program found click on "Run Anyway" to proceed with the removal.
Install AVG Antivirus free using offline installer which is available in this website: https://www.avg.com/download.prd-gsr-free as (32/64) bit.

Yes I did but getting the error in completing the setup process

I think this is an AVG server issue.

I have a desktop and a Tablet that are fine and updating virus definitions with no issue.
I have a Notebook that has this issue.
All are Windows 10.
All are running through the same cable router.

This just started today.
