i have the same problem my install goes to 97% then stalls out . i get a timed out message and the free version is left . repair option does not work either on programs and features. im running vista home premium.

I bought AVG Internet Security and for some reason it will not install on my laptop. It downloaded and installed perfectly on my desktop without any issues. For the laptop I keep getting the error message that there was an issue with installation and it gives the error number 0xe001f958. What is this error code as I have looked on the site and can't find it?

Yes it was Alan. Turns out there was a hidden AVG on my laptop and someone at Best Buy helped me out with it.
