Mostly this issue will occur if you already installed AVG PC Tuneup on your device. Go to Control Panel -> Programs and features -> Uninstall -> check if AVG PC Tuneup is listed there. If so, uninstall it or refer this article: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product to download and run AVG Remover tool which removes the traces of AVG PC Tuneup.

I just bought AVG-Performance and tried to install it. After downloding the file I started it as "administrator", after a few seconds I get an error message (0xe001f94e) and the programm needs to be closed. I even do not make it to the welcome page, probably something goes wrong at contacting AVG server for software dowload???
