Error message on avg unlimited protection 2017

I do appreciate your efforts in trying to fix the issue. I would request you to follow the steps in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product to reinstall AVG free by running AVG Remover and AVG Clear tool.

Once you have uninstalled, please click the link http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/Antivirus_Free_1817.exe to install AVG free Antivirus.

Note: Before starting the installation, please select "Basic protection" to install AVG Free.

i clicked on the basic internet protection link and it had error   
                                               UI unable to connect this is embarrassing etc…
so i clicked on the repair or restart  cant remember it said it may take some time and it did…finally said repaired  and i restarted the computer…again went to avg  click basic and said same thing
             UI UNABLE TO CONNECT   THIS IS EMBARRASSING ETC
THEN WENT TO WEB SITE WHERE IT GAVE INSTRUCTIONS FOR WINDOWS 7
  type in    SERVICES.MSC            THEN REMOTE DISPLAY…THEN  PROPERTY TAB
AND SELECTED GENERAL   AND AUTOMATIC START AS IT SAID TO    STILL HAVE SAME ISSUE…SINCE MY FRIEND DOWNLOADED AND INSTALLED THIS FOR M,E  I WASNT SURE IF I WOULD NEED MORE INFORMKATION TO DELETE AND REDOWNLOAD WHICH I BELIEVE WAS THE NEXT OPTION…PLEASE HELP…NOT AT ALL FAMILIAR WITH THE DOWNLOADING OF ANTIVIRUS   DUE TO ERRORS
