Yes, Mona.
Thank you for the screenshot. Please change DNS server address to public DNS in Windows and check if that fix the issue.
(1) Right click on network icon in the taskbar and click "Open Network and Sharing Center".
(2) Click "Change adapter settings".
(3) Select the active/ connected network adapter and right click and select "Properties".
(4) Select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click properties and then select "Use the following DNS server address". (By default "obtain DNS server address automatically" is selected). When you select "Use the following DNS server address", you can use the DNS address you want. Popular public DNS addresses are google DNS (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4).
After changing the DNS settings, click ok in the TCP/IP properties wizard.
Once you change this settings, restart your device and check if you are able to update AVG.

Please: can anybody help me to solve this problem?
Hello, Hans.
Please open task manage on your PC, click on 'Processes' tab and check if 'AVG Installer' processes are running. If yes, please right click on each of them and select 'End task' to kill them. Now try to update AVG and it should work. If you are unable to kill the tasks, please reboot your PC once.
Hello Avinash.
I followed the instructions, but it did not solved the problem. There were no AVG p[rocesses running in the task manager. Rebothing the system also did not help.
I tryed it again and now it works.
Thank you for your help
I am having this same problem. I tried to end task on the 3 AVG installers that are in the "background processes" section of the task manager, and it does nothing. I rebooted the computer, and they are still there.
You are most welcome.
Glad to know that your issue has been resolved.
Feel free to contact us if you need assistance with AVG.
