Error OxC0070643 when re-installing AVG

After I followed the above procedure I still got the same error. Any more ideas?

Thank you very much for the link. It gave the same error the first time but eventually afterwards AVG was successfully installed again on my PC. I am, however, curious to know why this link worked and what the difference is between this executable (AVG_Antivirus_Free_692.exe) and the one (AVG_Protection_Free_1606.exe) I downloaded earlier from AVG's download page. I saved the log file too because I thought that it will be requested as a guide to what caused the "general error" o my PC.

After several uninstallations and re-installations of AVG after I upgraded to Windows 10 I get the OxC0070643 each time.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
This issue is caused due to the presence of the third party security software or the traces of old AVG files. Please remove any traces and start the new installation. You can use the AVG remover tool to complete remove all the old traces of AVG
http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
Note: Once the removal of AVG is complete, go to C Drive and delete the AVG remover folder. After which you can install AVG.

Glad to know that you were able to install AVG free antivirus successfully.
This AVG_Antivirus_Free_692.exe file is the AVG Free Antivirus which will not have Zen interface in it.
This AVG_Protection_Free_1606.exe file is the latest AVG Protection free which has Zen interface for it.
Zen interface will be present only for the AVG Multidevice program.
On the Zen interface the protection and performance will get installed and will be working.
