Hello John,
Thank you for writing us back and sharing the screenshot.
We understand that you do not use VPN and when you disable out going mail, everything gets back to normal.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. We will check and help you to resolve the issue with email sending.
Could you please let us know if you have tried disabling AVG and checked if you face this issue?
For AVG antivirus software:
-Right-click the AVG icon in the system tray next to the clock.
-Click "Temporarily disable AVG protection".
-Choose how long you want the protection to be disabled.
-Check if you still face this issue.
We would like to inform that, after you install AVG AntiVirus Free, some third-party email clients, such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, or The Bat!, may show that the mail server certificate is invalid when you send and receive emails.
AVG Email Shield uses an advanced scanning method for incoming and outgoing emails over SSL/TLS secured connections. Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Sea Monkey, and the Bat! have their own certificate stores and may require extra configuration to avoid warnings about invalid server certificates.
We request you to follow the steps from this article and check again: | AVG (https://support.avg.com/supportarticleview?l=en&supporttype=home&urlname=troubleshoot-invalid-avg-antivirus-email-certificate)
