Errorcode 0xE0010045 Windows XP Pro

Hello Ratheesh,
Thanks for the suggestions. However, we cannot run the .exe file as the machine got stuck. So, we used Windows XP alternative (CD) start-up procedure to restore the computer. We succeeded to get the machine running again. But even so, AVG will not install; error code 0xE0010045 persists. So we changed to Avast and fortunately it works fine now and does not freeze the computer.
We had to make a choice. The machine is used for professional music production and only for updates of our production software we have to be connected to the internet. Use of anti virus software is limited to that. No e-mail or browsing has to be protected.
Regards, Han.

Hello Han,
Sorry to know that. May I know whether you are using windows XP with service pack 3 or above? Could you please let me know if you have uninstalled AVG from your computer?
Thank you.

Hello Sreedevi,
Thanks for your reaction.
As I wrote before, AVG has indeed been uninstalled. And since the problems occurred. To be precise, the machine does not even startup now - the most feared black screen just after passing the Bios information.
We kept Windows XP tidy and up to date with all service packs available and installed any update sent by Microsoft.
Regards, Han.

Hi there,

Our computer runs on Windows XP Professional.
We properly uninstalled AVG Free 2014 version. Next, as recommended, we ran AVG removal tool. Then tried to install AVG Free 2015 version. Oh dear, not possible, desaster windows 'You need a newer version of Windows' and error code 0xE0010045. OK, we skipped AVG. But since, the computer behaves differently. In no way we are able to install any other software anymore (various error codes when attempting) and when trying to use the computer it freezes randomly.
Anyone out there with a solution?
Thanks a lot.
