Hello Jan,
I understand the inconvenience.
I request you to get into AVG Ransomware settings and check whether the file is located in blocked apps.
Open AVG Internet Security interface, click on "Hacker Attacks" and select "Open" under ransomware.
Click on "blocked/allowed apps" and check whether the file is present on blocked apps field.
If yes, select and remove it from blocked list and add it to allowed apps.
Feel free to contact us if you need further assistance.
hi all,
i am writing on behalf of my uncle. for some reason AVG has blocked the Documents folder for use by the Epson Scannersoftware escndv.exe since it thinks it it ransomware.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6yndw6p2vf8z04l/AVG%20een.jpg?dl=0
now that sounds very weird to me.
It might well be the first time that he used the scanner software.
can anyone point me into the right direction regarding this notification? I would assume it is a false detection. On the web I find some people recommending to by some kind of software.
I myself think that AVG might be a little of the ball here.
does anyone know what to do?
thanks, on behalf of Jan de Jong
