You have misunderstood the problem, Karthikeyan. Eudora cannot communicate with the web because the upgrade has changed port settings. I used to be able to change them back with the old interface, but cannot find out where to do it on the new interface in order to set up a virtual server to communicate between Eudora and AVG.
Hello David,
We apologize for the inconvenience. You can click on this link(http://avgclick.me/AddException) to add this application to AVG exception list and that should fix this issue. If you still have any issue, please send a sample of this file to AVG(https://secure.avg.com/submit-sampl) and they will check the same and add the program to AVG whitelist.
Thank you
Wonderful! You have made yourself incompatible with my system. Can you recomment a good anti-virus program that will not do such antisocial "upgrades" please? Can you tell me what port is assigned so that I can try to undo the damage?
As the latest AVG "upgrade" has again failed to take into account customers who use non-standard email programs, I should like to know whether the fix given at AVG Community will be viable this time.

Hello David,
We regret for the misunderstanding. Please be informed that the latest version of AVG, does not have an option to change the port settings of email client in AVG. This will be automatically assigned.
Thank you
