Eudora disabled AGAIN

I again made the mistake of allowing AVG to "upgrade" - I just don't learn!
As a result, Eudora is disabled again, but not as it was in August, when the AVG gurus assured me that they were trying to avoid these problems.  Eudora can still read incoming emails, with the IMAP server set to 993 and the Local port set to 143, but the AVG program has set the SMTP Local port to 10000 and refuses to reset it to 25 which is the value I previously used.
Can anyone help, please?
