Eudora disabled again

We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
We suggest you to disable all the components of the AVG Anti-Virus free and check the issue. Use the following instructions to disable AVG components : Open AVG Zen -> Click on Anti-Virus Free -> Click on "Menu" -> Settings -> Disable all components (Resident Shield, Software Analyzer and Email Protection (Disable Until restart)).
Please let us know if the issues still persists after disabling AVG.

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to give such a full solution, David.  Sadly, I am unable to use it, as when I start Eudora now it attempts to read the last three years' emails and I cannot break it out of the attempt.  No part of the Eudora window will respond.  It won't minimise, change window size or even stop unless I axe it with Task Manager, which rather defeats the object!

Since the recent upgrade" to AVG free Eudora has been locked out again.  I was promised last time that this would not happen in future, but apparently the programmers did not get the message.  Can anyone help with Windows 7 Professional, AVG Free, Eudora 7.1.0.9 and Error 10061, please?

Also using Windows 7 Professional, AVG Free, and Firefox browser with a googlemail account through a university.  On Firefox VErsion 52.0.2 (32-bit), I receive the Error 10061 message when I try to answer emails with multiple recipients, and mail window freezes.  This is not a problem if I use Google Chrome as my browser.  This has only happened since the recent AVG update earlier this month.

Following these instructions from Sreedevi, I disabled AVG and the problem seems to have corrected.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused due to this issue. In-order to fix the issue, I will suggest you to add the Eudora to AVG exception. To add the Eudora to AVG Exception list please follow the below steps.
Open AVG->Go to Menu->click on setting->go to exception and add the Eudora file.
