Delete AVG all together including the browser. The AVG driver file for your keyboard will e deleted and everything will work normal again. WHY DOES AVG NEED TO CHANGE OR EVEN HAVE A KEYBOARD DRIVER…VERY SUSPICIOUS…
So I uninstalled everything like you said to do, and reinstalled, but it still didn't work…it still changed the file for the keyboard. So, I just uninstalled it and got another one that works without changing the keyboard file.
Hi Karen,
We would like to understand more about the situation. Could you share the screenshot of that interface where it mentioned AVG to check and assist you further?
Thank you for your patience Karen,
This really seems to be unfortunate. In this case, I request you to remove AVG completely along with any previous traces using the AVG clear tool/AVG Remover tool and then do a fresh installation of AVG.
Please follow the instruction ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product ) to run AVG Remover tool and AVG Clear tool.
After the computer reboots, please reinstall AVG Protection.
Regards,
Alok.
Every time AVG virus updates happen it changes my \keyboard driver and the \keyboard inputs strange characters, such as the , when I hit enter, the ] when I hit backspace and the \k when I hit the k. Any idea how keep it from changing my drivers?
,My driver aswkbd.sys has been changed to avgkbd.sys and it says the product name is AVG Internet Security System and AVG Keyboard Filter Driver.
