Every website returns "Your connection is not secure" After update/uninstall of IS2017

Hello Paul,
I regret to hear that you are experiencing issues with loading web pages after installing latest version. Please apply the below suggested setting in AVG program and let us know if your issue resolved.

Open AVG Antivirus and click on Menu->Settings-> Components->Online shield->Customize->Main settings-> uncheck HTTPS scan.

AVG Internet Security, working and up to date. XP
AVG version 2015.0.6201
Works great as did the 2016 Win 10 version, until on switching my laptop/desktop on to find that the Avg that I have always trusted was gone and replaced with a new updated version.

Now I am finding that every website returns "Your connection is not secure" and requests an exemption certificate. Initially thought this was a firewall issue or the added protection was blocking the ssl, but now after spending some time digging and looking at the logs it appears much more in depth and more like an identity crisis, with avg pointing the finger at anything that's new to its heightened sense of protection.

I've uninstalled the updated 2017 Internet Security, used the clear tool, and removed manually any traces left on the systems, including fragments in the registry.

However I am still left with this connection issue using Firefox, that wasn't there before AVG updated!
The choice to update should be left in the hands of the user to avoid problems like this occurring, I've gone from having two perfectly usable machines to the point of having to re-install.
