Exception Ignored

This was indeed a false positive caused by the AVG virus definitions.  I confirm the problem is resolved, at least by virus definitions version 170923-0.

AVG Anti-Virus Free 17.6.3029

I have some applications installed on my J-drive.  I have exceptions set under AVG's General, Resident Shield, and Software Analyzer for RegScanner.exe, an application that I obtained from [http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/regscanner-x64.zip].

If I have AVG scan my entire J-drive, no problems are detected.  However, every time I launch RegScanner.exe, AVG reports a threat.  A copy of the AVG popup is at .  If I select "More Options" to make an exception, I get a duplicate entry of my existing exception.  However, that duplicate entry does not stop subsequent AVG error popups.

The image did appear in the E-mail notification of Alok Kumar's reply, but I have inserted it here.

The last time I tried to recreate this problem, I still got the popup.  However, I did not get a duplicate entry in any of the exceptions.

David,

Thank you for providing the log files. I have escalated the case to the senior technicians, they will analyze the log files and get back to you via email.

Your patience is much appreciated.
