the new version does not have an update schedule in the options so how do we set a day?

You can change update schedule in AVG Advanced settings, but please note that it is not recommended.

I understand it's part of the process.  But I've used anti-virus tools for over 15 years and I've never seen one update itself 2 or 3 times every single day.  It's annoying because it slows my computer down so much while it's updating…  Can't you put out an update once a week instead of 2, 3 or even 4 per day?

Why does my AVG IS update every single day, multiple times each day?  seems excessive.

Jim, When you purchased AVG IS regular virus database updating is just part of what you paid for!!
