I'm running AVG build 1.161.2.61210 and Outlook 2016 is trying to connect to Office 365 / Exchange to get mail.
Outlook is unable to connect continues to say "trying to connect" UNTIL I disable AVG protection, outlook will then connect for the duration of activie session until I either reboot my PC or exit outlook.
I have tried rebooting my laptop and repairing / reinstalling AVG.

Hi AVG,
I had the same issue. I tried all steps above and when I disabled firewall, I could open Outlook. When I enabled my firewall, Outlook closed.
I run a small business out of my home. Email is crucial. Please help!

We are sorry to hear that. We suggest you to change the firewall network profile from "Public" to "Private" and check if that fix the issue. To change this settings, please open the AVG Internet Security and click on Menu>Settings>Components>Firewall>Customize>Network profile.
Thank you!
