This started happening after the latest version release.
We are aware of this issue and to assist further, an email instruction has been sent on how to collect and send us the log files.
Take a screenshot of exclamation mark appearing on AVG and send it to the same email.

NB I too have exclamation mark on the AVG icon-does not go yet I am protected
