Hello Luuk. Sorry to hear that. May I know the AVG product installed in your system? Also please try restoring your system once. If the issue persist please provide us the screenshot of the Expiro virus so that it will easier for us to analyze and provide you the exact resolution . Thank you.
Hi all! Yesterday I found out the pc of a friend of mine was infecterd with the Expiro virus. Therefore I downloaded the AVG Expiro removal tool and gave it a run. After starting it automatically asked me to reboot and fired itself up at the start of Windows. After beeing bussy for quit some time, the computer went blanck and video output stopped, however it was still making noise. So I tried a reboot after 2 hours, and got the question wheter I'd like to repair Windows or start Windows. Choosing for Start Windows got me into the Expiro removal tool again and again. However the Problem Solver doesn't do very much and gets me into the Expiro removal tool too! How to solve this problem, and prevent the Expiro removal from starting af Windows start? I can't come into Windows itself, so I've got no clue on how to remove it from the startlist. Hope you can help!!
Thanks and kind regards,
Luuk

Thank you for your reply. On the system itself, unfortunately there's Mcafee installed. For some reason there are no available system restore points anymore. Like they're all deleted. I'll upload a picture later, do you mean from the AVG removal screen at the boot? Is there a way to remove the startup from the removal tool by opening regedit from a W7 repair CD? Or from Linux? Or would it be better just to reinstall the whole machine?
