We regret for the inconvenience caused. To resolve the issue, we suggest you to remove AVG traces using AVG Remover tool( http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe ). Please restart to complete the uninstalling process. After restarting your computer, you may need to manually delete any remaining AVG files and also 'search' for a folder "AVG Remover"(usually in 'C' drive) and please delete it manually. And then install your AVG programs 'AVG Antivirus Free' by clicking on http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_Antivirus_Free_692.exe and 'AVG PC Tune Up' by clicking on http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_PCTuneUp_765.exe .Thank you.
I've been using AVG free antivirus for years with great satisfaction. Recently I inadvertently clicked a box for a free trial of AVG PRO, the paid version. That trial has expired, and I do not plan to buy PRO but to return using the free version. When I try to run a scan of my computer, I get a pop-up declaring "Your PRO trial has expired. Buy now to get back your PRO protection. . . " There is a red box at the bottom saying, "Buy Now." That's the only option, which means I cannot get the free version to run a scan of my computer.
How do I get rid of the "expiry pop-up" and get back into AVG Free?
