ExpressVpn BBC iplayer

Sorry is it still the case that this is "expected behaviour"?  Do I need to make the choice of EITHER expressVPN OR Fake Website Shield?  I have exactly the same behaviour on my system (all latest version)

Thank you for checking that.
We request you to turn off passive mode and in components, use the slider to disable each component.
Let us know after disabling which component the issue gets resolved with Express VPN.
Click on "Menu–>About" from AVG Internet Security program interface and provide its screenshot here.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Hello Geoffrey,

Do you mean that, AVG Internet Security program is causing this issue?
To confirm this, open AVG Internet Security program interface, click on "Menu–>Settings–>Troubleshooting–>Passive Mode".
Use the slider to turn on passive mode which will turn off the protection temporarily.
Check the status with Express VPN and keep us posted.

AVG seems to be preventing ExpressVpn  from modifying my location to UK so I can access BBC iPlayer.

ExpressVpn works OK on my Android box where AVG is not installed.

But does not work on my Lenovo laptop using Windows 10 and chrome browser.

Any thoughts ?

I've tried whitelisting the ExpressVpn in AVG but it doesn't seem to cure the problem.

William, I'm afraid that you are writing in an older post.

We appreciate your efforts & technical knowledge, Geoffrey.
It is the expected behavior & you can either have the Fake Website Shield disabled or uninstall it to continue using Express VPN to stream.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!
