Hello Raimundo,
We're happy to help.
Does your external disk is connected to your PC? If yes, the Disk Doctor feature scans your internal and external drives for disk errors caused by corrupted files, then offers to repair any found issues. If left unrepaired, corrupted files can cause crashes, unexpected behavior, problems starting your PC, and the loss of personal data.
To check if a scan is recommended, click All functions (the grid icon) ▸ Open Disk Doctor. Disk Doctor lists any drives that it is recommended to scan. The following options are available for each listed drive:
Scan now: Scans the relevant drive to check for issues.
Ignore: Removes the drive from the list of drives to scan. To scan this drive later, click disks ignored ▸ Stop ignoring at the bottom of the Disk Doctor screen.
Details: View additional information about the relevant drive.
Thank you.
Hello Raimundo. My name is Jovana and I'm with AVG senior support. Apologies for the delay.
I'm very sorry for the confusion and misinformation, rest assured this was not our intention. You are correct, external disks are no longer scanned in Disk Doctor because there were a lot of problems with it, and we decided to quit this feature.
Still, we appreciate your feedback and I'll certainly share it with the team.
Lastly, thank you very much for pointing out the outdated information on our support page, we reported it to the dedicated team.
If you need any further help, feel free to write back!

Thank you for your answer, Nisha. Nevertheless:
a) Clicked All functions (grid icon) + Open Disk Doctor. Only C appears. All the hard disk plugged into USB ports do not exist. So, no possibilities to select other disk to do what you talk about,
b) Mathias Gabriel, from support center, e-mailed me, answering this question in other way: the function to analyze external devices has been disabled due to several internal problems with Windows. So, this menu item does not exist, has been retired. This is a very new change, so your support page has not yet been updated.
Would be very hard you to agree? It is difficult to understand two different answers from two different persons from technical service. Which one is the correct one?
